A short time ago I told you I would be traveling to San Francisco for the Ride The Ducks Tour! I also told you I’d be taking my brother & niece, visiting from Texas. I was excited to share San Francisco with them & to do something I’d never done before… Ride the Ducks! A Ride The Ducks San Francisco tour includes an exciting ride on their amazing land and water duck boats. Their website lets you know what to expect:Ride through the historic streets and neighborhoods of San Francisco. Splash down and cruise the Bay. Drive the duck, if you want. Quack along with the captain and the music aboard this 90-minute city adventure. Your entertaining captain mixes fun, music, and history into an interactive experience better than any other San Francisco tour.”

After we got our tickets, it was time to board the Duck! Ride the Ducks is at the corner of Jefferson & Taylor, in San Francisco… across the street from Fisherman’s Wharf … super easy to find. photo-268photo-269photo-275 Once on, we were given some safety instructions by our Captain. More importantly, we were given our “Wacky Quackers” noise makers!  (This is not a quiet tour, the kids had a blast using their Quackers every chance they got. I plead the 5th as to whether or not I did the same!)   As we toured the streets of San Francisco, I snapped a few pics. I love architecture & found a couple of sweet buildings to photograph! Our Captain was very informative and funny. He was cracking jokes throughout the tour & playing music clips. Every time we passed a Walgreens, he instructed us to use our Quackers, and use them we did! photo-273photo-271 Of course, I’m always on the lookout for new places to eat, I found this one (below)! Mara’s Italian Pastry, say no more! I’ll be back, Mara! photo-260 We cruised by Chinatown- there is no better place to buy produce than Chinatown… super-fresh & super-affordable. Remember that when you visit San Francisco. photo-277 The moment we’d all been waiting for had finally arrived, it was time to go from a normal tour  ”bus” to a “boat”… and this is how we did it!  img055 Once we were in the water, it was smooth sailing, so to speak. The view from the San Francisco Bay is terrific. photo-267photo-266  The captain asked if anyone wanted to “drive” the boat & quite a few hands went up, including my niece. I was excited to watch her drive the boat & had to capture it on film: After a full 90 minutes, it was time for our Ride the Ducks Tour to come to an end. Once back on dry land, we made our way back to Jefferson & Taylor and bid a fond farewell to our Captain. We had a blast, and really enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend this tour for young & old alike. If you like music, jokes, learning about the history of a city, and being on land & sea-you will LOVE Ride the Ducks!

Our little guy has his Quacker in his room & uses it every day. I’m glad I got to experience Ride the Ducks with my family. photo-264photo-265  You could win tickets to ride the ducks too! CAPTURE A PICTURE OF THIS STRANGE ATTRACTION & YOU COULD WIN! Just take your pic, post it on the RideTheDucks™ Facebook page, and tag yourself.
